Data-Driven Results
Three Assessment Tools. One Complete Picture.
Most practices rely on a single screener. We use three complementary, FDA-cleared and clinically validated tools to eliminate guesswork and deliver precise, actionable results.

Objective Data. Not Just Questionnaires.
Many providers diagnose ADHD based on a 5-minute conversation and a self-report checklist. That approach misses things. Our testing provides objective, measurable data that leads to better outcomes.

You Might Benefit from Testing If:
You’ve always struggled with focus, organization, or follow-through but never had a formal evaluation. You were told you “might” have ADHD but never received objective testing. You were diagnosed years ago and want updated data. You’re considering medication and want to make an informed decision. You need documentation for work or academic accommodations.
ADHD Testing FAQ
Answers to the questions we hear most from patients considering an ADHD evaluation.
The complete assessment typically spans 2-3 appointments over 1-2 weeks. The initial consultation is 45-60 minutes, testing takes 60-90 minutes, and the results review is 30-45 minutes. We schedule these at times that work for you, including telehealth options for certain components.
No referral is needed. You can contact us directly to schedule your initial consultation. Many patients come to us on their own after years of wondering whether they have ADHD.
South Shore ADHD is a self-pay practice. We provide Superbills for you to submit to your insurance company for out-of-network reimbursement. Most patients receive 40-70% reimbursement. We also accept HSA and FSA payments.
Comprehensive testing is still valuable, even with an existing diagnosis. Our assessments reveal your specific cognitive profile, identifying exactly where your strengths and challenges are. This data helps us build a more targeted treatment plan and can provide updated documentation for accommodations.
The initial consultation and results review can be done via telehealth. Certain testing components, like the TOVA, are best performed in-office for accuracy. We’ll work with you to find the most convenient arrangement. We serve patients across Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
Online screeners are subjective self-reports that can’t measure actual cognitive performance. Our testing uses clinical-grade, validated instruments that objectively measure attention, memory, processing speed, and impulsivity. The results are compared against normative data for your age and gender, providing a far more accurate and nuanced picture than any checklist.
